Best Android One phones in India for September 2018

While some users prefer custom skins on their smartphones, be it Xiaomi's MIUI, Samsung's Experience UI or Huawei's EMUI among others, there are several that want a stock Android experience. Keeping this in mind, Google had introduced the Android One program in 2014 where it partners with smartphone manufacturers for Android One smartphones.

Under the Android One program, phones offer a stock Android experience to users along with timely software and security updates. While companies like Sharp, Lava and Infinix Mobility announced their Android One phones soon after Google introduced it, they did not gain much traction.

In 2017, Xiaomi introduced Mi A1, its first Android One smartphone, bringing back the Android One program to life and paving way for other smartphone makers such as Nokia and Motorola to introduce Android One phones. Nokia even went on to announce that all smartphones in their catalog from now on will be leveraging Google's Android One initiative.
