The Indian telecom wars don't seem to be cooling down anytime soon. India's leading wireless telecom provider Bharti Airtel has announced a new Rs 419 pack that offers 105GB of data and unlimited voice calls without any fair usage policy. This comes even as Airtel has now made it compulsory for all users to recharge with at least Rs 35 every 28 days.
Airtel's new Rs 419 pack comes with a validity of 75 days and offers up to 1.4GB of high-speed 4G data for free. In total, the pack gives users up to 105GB of high-speed data. Beyond the 1.4GB data per day limit, users will be restricted to a speed of 64Kbps.
In addition to data benefits, the Airtel Rs 419 pack also offers users unlimited voice calling without any sort of fair usage policy. In so far, Airtel's unlimited packs have restricted users to 1000 minutes per week. SMSs continue to be restricted to 100 per day, but this is down to TRAI's policies.
It is worth pointing out that the Airtel Rs 419 pack is an open market plan, meaning that it is available to all Airtel users across all telecom circles. However, in our tests, we were unable to recharge our Airtel number with this pack. For now, we are chalking it down to Airtel's website not being updated to reflect the changes, though.
In addition to this Rs 419 plan, Airtel also has a range of unlimited packs for different user requirements.
The packs mentioned below offer 1.4GB data per day:
Airtel also has two 2GB data per day packs:
