Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus has announced its latest flagship device, the Asus 6Z in India. The device was announced as the Zenfone 6 in Spain last month and now. has been unveiled in India with a different name.
The Asus 6Z features a unique flip camera which sports a 48MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary camera. The flip camera is made up of liquid metal which is lighter than stainless steel and is four times more stronger. The company has tested the flip mechanism over 1,00,000 times.
The Asus 6Z runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ZenUI 6 skinned on top. It features a 6.4-inch full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution NanoEdge IPS LCD display with HDR 10, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection,
In terms of performance, the Asus 6Z is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in three variants - 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Asus 6Z features a flip camera setup that doubled up as both, a rear camera and a selfie camera. It consists of a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.79 aperture, Laser autofocus, EIS and a 13MP secondary camera with a 125-degree ultra-wide angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.
The Asus 6Z is powered by a huge 5,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and an USB Type-C port.
The Asus 6Z has been priced at ₹31,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage varaint, ₹34,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage varaint and ₹39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage varaint. It will be available in Midnight Black and Twilight Silver color options from Flipkart starting from June 26.
