Additionally, Google also announced a new Home Hub as a part of its smart home ecosystem.

Here is everything you need to know about the new Google product launches, and their pricing and availability in India.

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

The stars of the Made by Google 2018 event were of course the new Pixel 3 smartphones. While we knew almost everything about the Pixel 3 XL long before the launch day, the Pixel 3 managed to remain elusive for the entire period. Google finally took the wraps off both the smartphones yesterday, and the Pixel 3 XL rumors were surprisingly accurate to the dot.

To start with, the Pixel 3 comes with a standard 5.5-inch P-OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Pixel 3 XL, on the other hand, comes with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ resolution P-OLED panel with a notch on top. Both the phones run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Both the Pixel smartphones are powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, and surprisingly, paired with just 4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage.

The rear camera also remains the same at 12.2MP with OIS and support for 4K video recording. On the front, Google has used a dual camera setup with two 8MP sensors, one for wide-angle shots and one for regular shots.

Both the smartphones have a fingerprint sensor, dual band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1 Type-C port with PowerDelivery 2.0 support. The Pixel 3 is backed by a 2915mAh battery while the Pixel 3 XL has a 3430mAh battery.

Following are the Indian prices of the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

  • Pixel 3 (64GB) - ₹71,000

  • Pixel 3 (128GB) - ₹80,000

  • Pixel 3 XL (64GB) - ₹83,000

  • Pixel 3 XL (128GB) - ₹92,000

The new Pixel 3 smartphones will go on pre-order on Flipkart from October 11.

Pixel Slate

Google also launched a brand new tablet called the Pixel Slate that runs on Chrome OS. This new tablet comes with a 12.3-inch display with a 293PPI, and has 8MP cameras on the front and the back.

As far as the processor and memory is concerned, the Pixel Slate comes in the following configurations - Intel Celeron, 8th gen Core m3, Core i5 and Core i7 processor. In terms of memory, you get 4GB with 32GB SSD, 8GB with 64GB or 128GB SSD and 16GB with 256GB SSD.

Other features include two USB Type-C ports, dual band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth and a fingerprint sensor. The tablet is backed by a 48Wh battery.

The Pixel Slate has been priced starting at $599 in the USA, plus $99 for Stylus and $199 for the keyboard. The Indian pricing of the tablet is not known yet.

Google Home Hub

Google expanded its smart home ecosystem with the new Home Hub, which is an Assistant-powered display. Essentially, it is a display attached to Google's Home speakers, which are also powered by Google Assistant.

In addition to talking to the Assistant, you can now watch videos, slideshows and monitor your existing security cameras, door locks or thermostats using the Google Home Hub.

Priced at $149, the Google Home Hub will go on sale in the US from October 22. Details about its price and availability in India are not known yet.

Pixel Buds

To complement the new Pixel smartphones, Google has also launched Pixel Buds. The USB Type-C earphones will go on sale shortly online on Flipkart, and will be available in retail stores like Reliance Digital, Croma, Poorvika, Bajaj Electronics and more. Google has not revealed the Indian pricing of Pixel Buds, but they are priced at $30 in the US.

Note that Pixel Buds will also come bundled with Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. That said, they are compatible with other phones that route audio through the USB Type-C port.
