Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, the successor to the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 has been revealed in press images and it packs in a slew of new features. The phone will be officially launched on 11th December in Indonesia.
The press images that have surfaced reveal that the phone features a notch display, however, the notch seems smaller than in some other phones. It also suggests that the display will now sport a newer 19:9 aspect ratio. Some rumors in the past had indicated that the Zenfone Max Pro M2 will sport three cameras on the back but the new renders suggest otherwise.
Apart from that, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 6GB of RAM and a massive 5000mAH battery. The software of the phone will also remain similar to the Zenfone Max Pro M1 with a stock Android experience as opposed to Asus's other phones which use the ZenUI skin.
Courtesy of these renders, the Max Pro M2 seems to have a glossy plastic back. The cameras on the phone have been upgraded as well and now feature a 12-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8 supporting Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). The secondary camera is a 5-megapixel snapper which assists in features like the portrait mode. On the front, there's a 13-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture, supported by a LED flash.
