Moto G7, that was recently rumored to have at least 4 variants has now been revealed in a leaked render by DroidShout. According to the report, there will be four variants of the phone- Moto G7, Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Plus and Moto G7 Power. These are expected to come in the budget smartphone category and will compete with brands such as Xiaomi's Redmi series, Vivo and OPPO, which are well established in that category.
The major update the phones make from previous generation G series phones is that they all feature a notched display. The phones are all G7 variants but have somewhat differing designs. The Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus feature the more modern, futuristic and space-saving water drop notch while the Play and Power variants sport a regular rectangular notch. From the renders, it can also be seen that the Play variant, houses a larger rectangular notch as compared to the Power variant.
Other aspects that deserve a mention are that all the phones feature rear-mounted fingerprint sensors with the Motorola branding embedded inside. Another neat feature is that all the four variants feature a dual camera set up.
Though the specifications of the phone are not known yet, from past phones, we can assume that the Plus variant will be the most powerful in terms of RAM and chipset. The Moto G7 Play will be the cheaper, more economical option to the G7 Plus. Moto G7 will be placed centrally and balanced well enough to differentiate it from other variants. The Moto G7 Power variant will be a phone for power users as it is rumored to have a 5,000mAH battery, like the Motorola One Power smartphone that was launched earlier this year.
Motorola has long been a powerful competitor in the budget smartphone market and is aiming to present users more advanced and flagship grade design with their Moto G7 lineup.
