Moto Z4 announced with 48MP camera, Moto Mods support and more

Lenovo-owned smartphone maker Motorola has announced a new device in its Moto Z series, dubbed as the Moto Z4. The device, like its predecessors comes with Moto Mods support, allowing users to add Mods to the device.

Currently, the Moto Z4 has been launched in the US and Canada only. We expect the company to announce the device in other countries, including India in the coming days. Verizon is also offering a 5G Moto Mod for $199.99 and device has been priced at $499.

Moto Z4 specifications

The Moto Z4 runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The device features a 6.40-inch full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution OLED display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

In terms of performance, the Moto Z4 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. In terms of memory, the device features 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Moto Z4 features a single 48MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1.6um pixel size, phase detection autofocus, laser autofocus and dual LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 25MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 0.9um pixel size.

The Moto Z4 is powered by a 3,600mAh battery 15W TurboPower Fast charge support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a USB Type-C port. It sports an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

Moto Z4 price and availability

The Moto Z4 has been priced at $499 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage varaint. It will go on sale in the US starting from June 6 and will make its debut in Canada later this month. Verizon customers will be able to get this device by paying $10 for 24 months.
