HMD Global today launched the Nokia 4.2 in India at a price of Rs 10,990. Featuring a dual camera setup and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset, the Nokia 4.2 was announced earlier this year during the Mobile World Congress 2019.
The Nokia 4.2 is an Android One smartphone like most other Nokia smartphones. As such, it runs on stock Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and comes with the promise of fast updates. HMD Global has been generally good when it comes to updates, so if you are looking for a clean, smooth experience with fast updates, the Nokia 4.2 is a decent option, albeit a bit pricey for what it offers.
Featuring a 5.71-inch HD+ resolution display, the Nokia 4.2 has a waterdrop notch on the top with fairly noticeable bezels around the display. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
Powering the Nokia 4.2 is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Buyers can expand the internal storage up to 400GB using a microSD card.
In terms of imaging, the Nokia 4.2 has a dual camera setup on the back. There is a 13MP primary camera with Phase Detection Autofocus and a 2MP secondary camera for capturing depth information. On the front, there is an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling.
Other features of the Nokia 4.2 include a fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
The Nokia 4.2 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 10,990. It comes in Black and Pink Sand colours and is available for purchase on Nokia.com for 7 days from now. It will be available for purchase in stores like Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha, Big C and more from May 14th, with wider availability across India from May 21st.
