HMD Global earlier this month started sending media invites for the launch of Nokia devices in India on October 11. While the company did not reveal what will be launched, the company was expected to announce the Nokia X7 global varaint, or the Nokia 7.1 Plus.
Earlier this month, the Nokia 7.1 Plus (TA-1131) was spotted on TENAA and now, the Nokia 7.1 (TA-1100) has been spotted, revealing its design and specifications. Nokia is expected to announce the Nokia 7.1 in India along with the Nokia 7.1 Plus.
The Nokia 7.1 is expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo and offer a near stock Android experience to users. It is reported to feature a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2244 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The device features a notch at the top that houses the front camera and other sensors.
In terms of performance, the Nokia 7.1 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with Adreno 509 GPU. In terms of memory, the device is expected to be launched in two variants - 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Nokia 7.1 is expected to feature a dual camera setup consisting a 12MP primary camera with ZEISS optics and a 5MP secondary camera. On the front, the device is expected to feature a 8MP selfie camera.
The present leak has not revealed any information about the battery on the Nokia 7.1. Connectivity options on the device are expected to include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
The Nokia 7.1 is expected to be priced at 349 Euros (Rs. 28,510 approx.) for the 3GB RAM variant in Europe, however, we expect the device to be priced cheaper in India.
