Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has announced the launch of a new flagship device, dubbed as the Oppo Reno. The company has been teasing the launch of the device for some time now and has finally launched the device in its home country.
The company has launched two variants of the device - one powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC and a Snapdragon 855 varaint with 10X Hybrid Optical Zoom. The company has also revealed that it will launch a 5G varaint of the device next month.
The Oppo Reno runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 skinned on top. It features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in three variants - 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Oppo Reno features a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 0.8um pixel size, OIS, phase detection autofocus, a 13MP periscope telephoto lens with f/3.0 aperture and an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 10x Hybrid Optical Zoom. It features a 16MP selfie camera.
The Oppo Reno is powered by a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port.
The Oppo Reno has been priced starting at CNY 3999 (₹ 41,040 approx.) and will be available in China starting from May in Green and Black color options.
