Chinese smartphone maker Oppo today announced a new smartphone to its recently announced Reno series, dubbed as the Oppo Reno Z. Earlier the company had introduced the Oppo Reno Z and Oppo Reno Z 10x Zoom Edition and the devices were launched in India earlier this week.
The Oppo Reno Z features a slightly similar design as the other Reno devices, however, unlike the Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition that features a side-swinging module for the selfie camera, the Reno Z features a water drop notch.
The Oppo Reno Z runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 skinned on top. It features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display also houses an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of performance, the Oppo Reno Z is powered by an octa-core Helio P90 SoC coupled with an IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in two variants - 6GB RAM + 256GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Oppo Reno Z features a dual camera setup at the back consisting a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8um pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, CAF and a secondary 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device sports a 32MP selfie camera.
The Oppo Reno Z is powered by a 4,035mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 Fast charge support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
The Oppo Reno Z has been priced at CNY 2499 (approx. ₹25,270) for both the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. It comes in three colour options – Jet Black, Coral Orange, White and Purple and will go on sale in China from June 6.
