Xiaomi's recently launched sub-brand Redmi is scheduled to announce its latest budget device, the Redmi Note 7 in India on February 28 and along with this, the Chinese smartphone maker may also announce the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
The renders of the Redmi Note 7 Pro have been leaked by a tipster on Twitter, revealing that the device will feature a design similar to the Redmi Note 7. In addition to this, the device has also been spotted in TENAA listings, hinting at an imminent launch.
Redmi President Lu Weibing had earlier confirmed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro would be launched sometime this week, without revealing the launch date. It is expected that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be announced along with the Redmi Note 7 in India.
The renders have revealed that we will see at least three color variants - Gradient Pink, Gradient Blue and Gradient Black.
The tipster has further added that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be launched with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun had earlier revealed that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will feature 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, so the might launch at least two storage variants of the device in the country.
Coming to the specifications, the main highlight of the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be its 48MP Sony IMX586 camera at the back. Additionally, the device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
While the Redmi Note series is usually priced competitively, the Redmi Note 7 Pro may not be as affordable as its predecessors. Weibing in a post had suggested that the device may be priced around CNY 2000 (₹21,250 approx.), which will make it costlier than the base variant of the Poco F1. We should know more about the device when it is announced on February 28.
