While Android tablets have not been successful in making a mark against Apple's iPads, some companies like Samsung continue to launch one or two tablets every year and is the leading Android tablet maker.
Samsung has now announced the Galaxy Tablet A 8.0 (2019), after the launch of the Galaxy Tablet A 10.1 (2019) last month. The tablet has currently been launched in the UK, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines among other countries.
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet A 8.0 (2019) runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and features an 8-inch Full HD+ (1920 x 1200 pixles) resolution WUXGA TFT display. It has S Pen support and features a dedicated slot to hold it.
In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy Tablet A 8.0 (2019) is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7904 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy Tablet A 8.0 (2019) features an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The Samsung Galaxy A 8.0 (2019) is powered by a 4,200mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS and a USB 2.0 Type-C port.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) comes in Grey and Black color options and will soon be available in Malaysia, New Zealand, UK, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. The company has not revealed the price yet.
At the moment, there is no information when the device will be launched in India, however, we expect the company to soon launch the tablet in the country.
