January 2019 will see waves of new smartphones hitting the stores and the new tech has us sitting on the edge of our seats. One of the new phone lineups to hit the Indian markets is being brought by Samsung, in their upcoming Galaxy M lineup.
It was recently confirmed by the company that they will launch 3 new phones in their upcoming lineup. Additionally, the January launch is said to be the global debut of the smartphone lineups. The global launch in India is taking place because of the companies high sales and consumer value in the country.
Earlier this week, the phones were leaked and we got some info on the design and models that will be up for sale in the Galaxy M lineup. The three phones will be M20, M30 and M5. Recently, one of these phones was seen in GeekBench tests, where the phone was seen to have the model number SM-M305F, which could be the M30 variant of the phone.
Moving on to the speculated specifications of the same phone, the Galaxy M30, it is expected to have an Exynos 7885 processor with a 4GB RAM and will come in 64GB and 128GB variants. The M20, which was also spotted on GeekBench and AnTuTu tests is speculated to have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels. The processor will be the same as the one in the Galaxy M30 and will be paired with a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The phone will sport a lower 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The M5 is rumored to be the flagship model of the lineup as it has a vibrant AMOLED panel as opposed to the LCD panels on the other phones. As of now, there is no word on pricing, but other leaks have hinted that the M series will be online exclusive only and will replace Samsung's existing J series lineup of smartphones.
