Earlier this year, Vivo launched one of the first truly bezeless phone, the Vivo Apex sporting a motorized camera module that would pop up from the top of the phone. Now, it looks like Vivo is revamping the design with the Nex 2 which is expected to be unveiled in December.

This year around, the company has drastically reworked the phone and it will now sport two displays. Yes, you read that right. The dual display set up is not a new concept as Nubia X has also adopted the same technique to provide users with a complete bezeless display experience.

The motorized camera is gone now but there's a lot to take its place. The leaks suggest that there will a display at the back of the phone that will be fully functional and will also allow users to make use of the triple back camera setup for clicking selfies. The phone has no dedicated front-facing camera, but due to the two displays, users will now be able to create seflies from the rear camera itself.

Another new feature of the phone is the RGB light ring that Vivo is calling the Lunar Ring, around the camera set up. It adds for some unique and eye-catching looks. Not only that, it even serves a purpose in that it will work as a notification light, letting you know you have unread notifications.

Within the Lunar Ring will be the triple camera set up, which will also feature a 3D sensing time of flight sensor. which has a lot of potential for AR and depth photography. As of now, there is no word on the exact specifications of the cameras, but the camera has been confirmed.

The Vivo Nex 2 smartphone is expected to launch globally in December and will pose as a competitor to Google Pixel 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, OnePlus 6T and other flagship phones.
