Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has started teasing the launch of a new flagship smartphone in India. The unnamed device will reportedly feature a pop-up selfie camera, similar to its earlier device, the Vivo Nex that was launched last year in the country.
Vivo has started sending 'Block Your Calendar' invites to the media for an event in India on 20 February. The invite mentions that there is a 'new pop-star in town', hinting at the pop-up selfie camera. In addition to that, there is an image of a device with a pop-up camera on top.
Interestingly, a smartphone, dubbed as Vivo V15 Pro was spotted earlier this week after an image of the device's case was leaked online. It is now expected that Vivo will be launching the Vivo V15 Pro in India.
The leaked case had revealed that the device will sport a pop-up selfie camera as there was a cut out on the top right side of the case for a pop-up camera. In addition to this, the leaked case had also revealed that the device will feature a triple camera setup at the back.
In addition to revealing a pop-up selfie camera and the triple camera setup at the back, the case leak also hints that the Vivo V15 Pro will probably feature an in-display fingerprint sensor as there is no cut out for a fingerprint sensor on the case. The Vivo V11 Pro was launched with an in-display fingerprint sensor and the V15 Pro is expected to be its successor.
While there has been no information from the company, the Vivo V15 Pro is expected to be priced around Rs 25,000. We will know more about the device when it is announced on 20 February in India.
