Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has announced the launch of new smartphone in its new U-series, dubbed as the Vivo U1 in China. It is a mid-range device and features a similar design to other Vivo devices in this range.
The Vivo U1 features a water drop notch design and sports a dual camera setup at the back with an LED flash below it. It is powered by a Snapdragon 439 SoC with up to 4GB RAM and is powered by a 4,030mAh battery.
The Vivo U1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company's Funtouch OS 4.5 skin on top. It features a 6.22-inch full HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution FullView 2.5D curved glass display.
In terms of performance, the Vivo U1 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. In terms of memory, the Vivo U1 has been launched in two variants - 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Vivo U1 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting a 13MP primary camera with an LED flash and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera.
The Vivo U1 is powered by a 4,030mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB port.
The Vivo U1 has been priced at CNY 799 (₹8,430 approx.) for the 3GB RAM variant and CNY 1,199 (₹12,650 approx.) for the 4GB RAM varaint. It is available in China in Midnight Black, Purple and Aurora Red color options. At the moment, there is no information about the device's launch in India.
