Chinese smartphone maker Vivo today announced the launch of its latest device in the Y series, dubbed as the Vivo Y93. The device was listed online earlier this month and now has been officially launched by the company.
The Vivo Y93 launched in India is similar to the Vivo Y93s that was launched in China earlier this month. It features a waterdrop notch and has a gradient finish at the back. It sports a dual camera setup at the back and is powered by a Helio P22 SoC.
The Vivo Y93 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.5 on top. It features a 6.22-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) FullView 2.5D curved glass display with an aspect ratio of 19:9.
In terms of performance, the Vivo Y93 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In terms of memory, the device is equipped with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. In China, the device was launched with a Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Vivo Y93 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 13MP primary camera with an LED flash and a 2 MP secondary camera. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera.
The Vivo Y93 is powered by a huge 4,030mAh battery, however, it lacks fast charge support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB port. The device sports a fingerprint sensor at the back.
