When there is a price change for a gadget, it is mostly a price cut aimed at increasing the sales of the product but Xiaomi has for the second time this year increased the prices of some of its products in India. The price hike will be effective from November 11.
Earlier, Xiaomi had increased the prices of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi TV 4 55-inch and other accessories citing the depreciation of Rupee.
Now, Xiaomi has hiked the prices of the Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32-inch, Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49-inch and the Mi Power Bank 2i. Xiaomi has said that since the beginning of the year, the value of Rupee against the Dollar has depreciated by 15%, resulting in increased costs for the company.
The prices of the Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32-inch and Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49-inch have been hiked by Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively and they will now be available for Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 31,999 respectively.
Coming to the Xiaomi Redmi 6A, the price of the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant and the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant has been increased by Rs. 600 and Rs. 500 respectively. The two variants will now be available for Rs. 6,599 and Rs. 7,499 respectively.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 3GB RAM varaint has received a price hike of Rs. 500 and will now be available for Rs. 8,499. The 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i will now be available for Rs. 899, after a price hike of Rs. 100.
