Xiaomi has long been making waves in the smartphone community with their budget-friendly, high-performance smartphones. Now, the company is evolving at a fast rate and last year, the company had launched a smart TV lineup which they are now aiming to expand.
The two new additions to the lineup, the Mi 4X Pro and Mi 4A Pro, both are powered by the Android TV operating system. The Mi 4X Pro comes in at a 55-inch 4K panel and 2GB of RAM coupled with 8GB of internal storage for storing apps and downloadable content. The other smart TV, the Mi 4A Pro has a 43-inch display which doesn't support 4K but does have support for HDR content that is available on YouTube or Netflix. The 4A Pro has a 1GB RAM and the same 8GB internal storage.
As far as colors are concerned, the 4X Pro has a higher 10-bit panel for a wider range of colors while the 4A Pro has an 8-bit panel that can display accurate colors. Additionally, both the panels are backlit panels as opposed to edge lit panels. Another neat feature about the displays is that both the TVs sport very narrow bezels like we have seen on Xiaomi's phones, which makes for a more immersive viewing experience.
In the sound department, Xiaomi has put in20W unit speakers which should perform well in a TV of this size. If, however, you feel that you need to step up the sound experience, Xiaomi has also launched a soundbar to go with the TV that can be separately purchased from the online website and soon from offline stores.
In terms of connectivity, the TVs have three HDMI ports for all your needs and three full-sized USB type-A ports to connect external storage devices. Apart from that, the TVs come with the usual Bluetooth and voice-enabled remote, which can be used with Google Assistant.
Both the TVs will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores from January 15th. The 4X Pro will be priced at ₹39,999 while the 4A Pro will be purchasable for ₹22,999.
