Earlier this year, when Xiaomi launched it's POCO F1 smartphone, it shook the sub 25,000 price bracket completely. The POCO F1 brings a high end processor, bigger RAM and advanced cameras to compete with flagship range devices- all of this at half the price of a flagship phone. Now, with the latest beta update, the company has brought a slew of new improvements and additions to the camera department of the POCO F1.
The latest MIUI 10 8.12.4 beta update is 184 MB in size and brings support for slow motion video recording at 960 fps (frames per second) and a super low light mode that will help users in creating pictures at night time. However, Xiaomi is yet to add 4K video recording capability to the video recording- which they had promised a while back.
The super low light feature captures 8 consecutive shots at different exposures and light conditions and then stitch the images to form a brighter, more clear and vibrant image in extremely low-lit environments.
Another minor update aimed at revamping some of the tabs and menus of the settings app to make it more streamlined and easy to navigate. The changelog also mentioned some minor performance issues and bugs that have been fixed.
The MIUI 10 8.12.4 update available for beta testers went live on 4th December. Xiaomi will use the data inputs from the beta testers to further improve the features and check to see if there are any instabilities or bugs in the newly added features before rolling it out to the general public.
