Xiaomi is all set to launch not one but two smartphones next week. According to reports, the Chinese smartphone maker could unveil the Redmi 7 alongside the Redmi Y3 during the April 24 event.
Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of the Redmi Y3 for a few days now. Earlier, it was revealed that the next smartphone in the Redmi Y series would feature a 32MP selfie camera. Later, Xiaomi also teased that it would come with a large battery. Xiaomi's tweets so far have also confirmed that it will be a Redmi Y series smartphone.
Now, a new tweet posted by Xiaomi has suggested that it could launch the Redmi 7 as well in addition to the Redmi Y3. To recap, the Redmi 7 was launched earlier last month in China featuring a waterdrop notch and a dual camera setup on the back.
To recap very briefly, the Redmi 7 is the latest smartphone in Xiaomi's entry-level segment. Launched last month, it features a 6.26-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
In terms of performance, the Redmi 7 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in three variants - 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Redmi 7 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting a 12MP primary camera with 1.12um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, the device sports an 8MP selfie camera.
The Redmi 7 is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and a USB port.
