One of the most highly anticipated smartphone series of the year just got a launch date. We're talking about the 2019 iPhone models and the release date has been confirmed. Not by any company sources, but by a few lines of code in the open iOS 13 beta. As per the information in the beta, it seems that the three new iPhones will launch globally on September 10, 2019.
By now, we've heard a lot about the iPhone but this is the only thing that we're completely certain of. An image titled 'Hold For Release', one that the company uses as the first screen that you come across when you boot up a new iPhone, confirms this. On the calendar app of the screenshot, the date is fixed at 10th. Now, nowhere does it say September, but in the past, most iPhones are released in that month so it would be safe to assume the same this time around.
This confirmation comes after several beta testers began digging in about hints at the new iPhone models. In fact, earlier, a few users came across potential names of the iPhone models- iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and simply, iPhone 11.
Apart from this, we're also certain of the design of the upcoming iPhones. A few sources claimed that from the front, there won't be any changes but the biggest visual changes come around the back of the phone. The phone will have a square camera module housing at least three cameras. This was one of the earliest leaks about the iPhone 11 and now, we're closer to seeing the real deal in hand.
However, all of this must be taken with a pinch of salt as there's really no telling what the company might change in the past. However, these leaks generally turn out to be right, and we're hoping that the same trend continues this time around too.
