Google Pixel phones have often been considered as some of the best phone currently on the market. Since the phones are rather expensive, they tend to be inaccessible to a large market and it seems that Google has some plans to combat that. For a long time now, we have been hearing about two mid-range Pixel phones and now, the company has accidentally leaked the Pixel 3a, which is one of the mid range phones. Here's all you need to know about the leaks.
Pixel 3a is speculated to be Google's long-rumoured "lite" version of the "Pixel 3" smartphone, The Verge reported on Friday. Earlier, the phone's code names were released, which was the first confirmation that such a phone existed. Since then, many speculations about the phone have been made and now, the company leaked the phone almost entirely on their website.
While Google has taken down the information page from its website, as per the screenshots floating in the media, the search engine giant has bundled "Pixel Buds" and "Pixel 3a case" with the "3a" device. This is a great addition as not many manufacturers these days opt for giving headphones in the box.
"The phones were listed as 'midyear experiences' suggesting we wouldn't have to wait until Google's traditional October launch window for Pixel devices, but might see them as soon as this summer, possibly at Google's I/O developer conference in May," the report said.
The name "Pixel 3a XL" has also previously appeared in Android Q's beta code, the media had reported. This could mean that the Pixel 3a will be one of the first phones on the market that will run on the latest Android platform.
There is no word yet on the price, specifications or cameras of the phone and it remains to be seen how the phone will be pitted against its competitors, or who exactly the competitors will be. Till then, we can assume that it will, most likely, compete with the OnePlus phones.
