Motorola One Power is all set to launch in India on September 24th, according to the launch schedule tweeted by the Lenovo-owned company. The One Power is a part of Motorola's new Android One range of smartphones and will be the first such smartphone from the company to be launched in India.
The Motorola One Power was announced at IFA 2018 earlier this year. The main highlights of the smartphone include a stock Android One experience with the promise of timely Android updates and a massive 5,000mAh battery that can last for 2 days with normal usage.
The Motorola One Power is the costlier among the two Motorola One-branded smartphones announced at IFA 2018, and reports suggest that the One Power could start at a price of around ₹14,000. While Motorola was the company that started off the affordable smartphone race in India with the original Moto G, the company seems to have lost track with the subsequent launches of its affordable smartphones.
With the Motorola One Power, the smartphone maker seems to be back on track and is expected to take on the highly popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, with a starting price of ₹14,000.
The Motorola One Power features a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Max Vision display and sports a notch on the top. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is expected to get the Android 9.0 Pie update in the near future.
The One Power is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset with Adreno 509 GPU, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone supports microSD cards up to 256GB for those who want more space.
Like most smartphones these days, the Motorola One Power sports a dual camera setup on the back with a 16MP + 5MP sensor setup. On the front, it has a 12MP camera for selfies and video calling.
Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type C port. The phone is backed by a huge 5,000mAh battery and supports fast charging out of the box.
