Recently, since Huawei had been blacklisted from Google's Android platform, the company announced that it would be releasing their own operating system very soon. Though not much about this OS is known as of now, some reports have suggested that it is highly likely that it is essentially 60% faster than the regular Android OS.

As per Google's new regulation plan, Huawei can still use Android OS till August 2019. Huawei's own OS, which goes by the name HongMeng OS is almost ready to be rolled out to users any in the coming few months. The company itself has stated that they will launch the OS for users in October this year.

Now, a report by Global Times suggests that Huawei's Hongmeng OS will apparently be 60 percent faster than Android. Reportedly, Oppo and Vivo have sent out their teams to test the new Huawei OS and found the operating system to actually be 60 percent faster than Android.

However, since we have not been able to test the OS out for ourselves we can't be for certain. It is highly likely that it may just be a matter of building hype for a Chinese alternative to Android OS.

Additionally, Huawei has also trademarked the operating system in nine countries and in Europe.According to data from the UN World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the trademark has been filed in countries such as Cambodia, Canada, South Korea and New Zealand.

Hongmeng OS will reportedly be used for gadgets ranging from smartphones, portable computers to robots and car televisions. The OS is expected to arrive on nearly 225 million devices by the end of this year.

We are excited to see what Huawei has in store for us with their new OS. As of now, there are no details on how the OS will look and function, but we expect it to be more lightweight than Android, which is what makes it faster than our beloved OS.
