Nokia, a company that has suddenly resurfaced over the past year and made a mark for itself in the industry, has been teasing the Nokia 9 Pureview mobile phone for a while now. Finally, we have an official announce date and a teaser to go with it that gives us new information regarding the phone.
The Nokia 9 Pureview, a phone with five rear cameras and, as we have just learnt, with a punch hole display, is all set to be launched at the MWC 2019, on February 24. The phone has been making rounds in leaks and renders since last year and it was confirmed a few months back that it is not a hoax.
The phone is one of the most ambitious phones by Nokia ever since they have began manufacturing Android Smartphones. The rear cameras have a 1-1-3 set up, meaning there are two cameras on either side of the vertically placed 3 cameras. The phone is said to use Zeiss optics, like we have seen in other Nokia phones.
Till recently, it was believed that the phone would have slim bezels with a full screen display, however, in the latest teasers by the company, it has been confirmed that the phone will have an in display front facing camera. Additionally, the phone will also house an in-display fingerprint sensor, another first by the company.
The Nokia 9 Pureview screen is reported to be a 5.9-inch OLED display and the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone should run Android 9.0 out of the box. Additionally, the phone has also received IP68 ratings for water-resistance and will come with a 4150mAh battery, supporting wireless charging.
Nokia will also be releasing another phone which could be the Nokia 8.1 or the Nokia 6.2 with slim bezels and a cut-out for the selfie camera on the top-left corner. It could feature a 6.22-inches display, a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual rear cameras with Zeiss optics. As of now, these are all the details that are known about the phones and complete details should be out once the phone is officially launched.
