Redmi, a company which launches a new phone almost every few months, is back at it again with the latest phone in their Note series. The Redmi Note 8 series, which is one of the latest powerhouses by the company, has just got a release date and the phone seems to promise some insane specifications. As per the latest details, the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro will launch on August 29, 2019. Read on to know more.

A formal teaser, which was revealed on the chinese website, Webio and showcases the back of the phone as well. Though the teaser is entirely in Chinese, one can make out the number 6400, and the date at the bottom, 29th day of the 8th month, which is 29th August.

The back of the phone seems to sport some sort of a sea green colour with four cameras at the back and what seems to be a fingerprint scanner. This is slightly surprising considering that many phone manufacturers are opting for in-display fingerprint scanners, which is the norm these days. However, the capacitive sensor makes for faster as well as more reliable unlocks.

From the teaser, it is also quite clear that the phone will come with a primary 64-megapixel sensor, which is one of the first of its kind. Additionally, most phone manufacturers were showing off 48-megapixel cameras, but Redmi seems to have gained the upper hand.

At this point in time, we're uncertain whether the 64-megapixel camera will be exclusive to the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Apart from this, there is very little information regarding the Redmi Note 8 series. The specifications of the phones have not surfaced yet, but at least the Pro version of the phone will come with competitive specifications.

Additionally, there are also rumors of Redmi coming out with a TV of their own, which is supposedly very, very thin.

At any rate, this teaser gets us hyped up for not just these phones, but for the future of smartphones and paves the way for the next step in mobile camera systems.
