Over the past month, Samsung has been trying to regain lost ground over the average Indian consumer. Off late, their phones have been overshadowed by Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo budget smartphones. With Samsung's recently launched M series, however, they aim to tap into that market again and make the best of the situation. Yesterday, the company announced the newest addition to the line-up aimed at millennials, the Galaxy M30.
Here's all you need to know about the smartphone.
The newly launched Galaxy M10 and the M20 smartphones received great reception from the smartphone community. With the M series phones, the company provides high end design and specifications at a reasonable price, which is the main draw of the line-up.
As for the most recent addition to the line-up, the M30, it will be the most premium of the lot. The M30 sports a super AMOLED 6.4'' FHD+ display with an infinity-U display which is a pseudonym for a waterdrop notch.
To power the phone, there is an Exynos 7904 octa-core processor that comes in two variants. A 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant and another 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage model. The company claims that the Exynos 7904 processor comes with a feature that allows it to multitask and consume very little power, which should enhance the battery life.
The company claims that the phone will outshine the competitors when it comes to camera performance. This can largely be owed to the triple rear camera setup that the phone offers. The triple camera setup on Galaxy M30 comprises of a 13-megapixel primary rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture, a secondary 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens for capturing everything in a frame and a third 5-megapixel live focus lens that allows for intricate depth sensing capabilities. Up front and in the U shaped notch, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel sensor with AI capabilities and depth sensing features.
In order to help with unhindered gaming and multitasking performance, the phone comes with a massive 5,000mAH battery paired with fast charging via a USB type C charger. To top it off, the phone will come equipped with the latest in the line Android 9.0 Pie operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy M30 will come in two colour variants- gradation black and gradation blue. As for pricing, the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant will be available for ₹17,990 and the other 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage model will be priced at ₹14,990. The smartphone will be available on both amazon.in and samsung.com starting March 5.
The company has also partnered up with Jio 4G to bring some unmissable benefits. Users of the Galaxy M series can avail of double-data on plans worth ₹198 and ₹299. This exclusive offer gives users on the ₹198 plan savings worth ₹3110 over a period of 10 recharges and with the double-data benefit, the possibilities of internet browsing become unlimited.
