Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has announced the launch of a new mid-range device in the Y series, dubbed as the Vivo Y17 in India. The device was spotted earlier this month after it was certified in China.
The Vivo Y17 features a triple camera setup at the back and a waterdrop notch at the front. It has a gradient back along with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. Another highlight of the device is its huge 5,000mAh battery.
The Vivo Y17 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.0 skinned on top. It features a 6.35-inch HD+ (1544 x 720 pixels) resolution 2.5D curved glass IPS display. It features a waterdrop notch that houses the selfie camera.
In terms of performance, the Vivo Y17 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio SoC coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In terms of memory, the device features 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB.
Coming to the camera department, the Vivo Y17 features a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, a 2MP secondary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, the device sports a 16MP selfie camera.
The Vivo Y17 is powered by a huge 5,000mAh battery with 18W dual-engine fast charge support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB port. The device sports a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo Y17 is priced at ₹17,990 and is available in Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple color options from retail stores across the country.
